Scouts is for girls & boys aged 101/2
- 15 years of age
We meet on Thursdays between 7:30 - 9:30PM at
our Scout Hall.
The aim of Scouts is to encourage their physical,
social, intellectual and spiritual development,
so that they may take a constructive place in
society as responsible citizens.
The aim is achieved using the Patrol system, that
is, a small group of 4 - 8 Scouts led by a Scout
Patrol Leader all working towards a variety of
Achievement and Challenge badges.
Activities with the Scout Troop will include hikes,
camps, bike rides, building & construction,
first aid, sport & fitness, service to the
community, prayers, friendships, abseilling, conoeing,
flying and much more.
The Scout Troop is run by leaders who are fully
trained by the Scout Association, are fun loving
and enthusiastic.
Parents have a role to play by helping out and
may themselves become leaders.
